Hi! I’m Rae (Rachel) Lueth, the MN 02/03 director. I wanted to show you a photo of my family so you can see the other side of me. Hopefully you’ll get to see me on the back of a horse plenty of times, but seeing me with my family tends to be less common in the summer time while I’m living my best barrel racer life!
I live in Arlington, MN with my husband, Kevin, and son, Parker. Kevin works full time in the trucking industry and he also works at the family farm where they grow cash crops and beef. Parker has a pony named Chippy and he loves everything Peewee! He will be 6 this summer.
I work as an investigation claims adjuster for American Family Insurance. I have been in the insurance industry for over 15 years. I began barrel racing my sophomore year of college after growing up showing pleasure. I have shown ½ arabs, quarter horses, and paints in anything from western pleasure to hunter under saddle. I am obsessed with showmanship and western pleasure. I recently sold my pleasure horse so that I can focus on my futurity horse this year. It is the first year in 15 years that I have not owned a pleasure horse and continued to show pleasure and barrel race! Fun fact, at 20 years old I was names WSCA Ms. Games in 2007-2008, the competition was only a few months after I bought my first game horse, who was actually a 54 inch pony. I was hooked from then on! In 2014 my horse Hilltops Jewel was the UBRA 2D Derby World Champion and she was 3rd in the 2D in the NRF Tour. I have been to NBHA State Finals 7 times. I have only made the short go twice. My dad however, has made it back not only every time, but has won a buckle every time he has gone! One time he even beat me by slim margins so he got a buckle and I was the first person that didn’t! But I’m determined to get that buckle this year!
My horse, CD Jettinfrenchmoney, AKA Rocket, is a 5 year old bay gelding. I’m excited to go to some futurities and our NBHA races, gaining confidence and speed along the way! When I’m not working or barrel racing you might find me at a school board meeting or volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Association or Best Christmas Ever as a local captain raising money for families in need due to no fault of their own. Can’t wait to meet you!
