Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say a
HUGE thank you to everyone who helped out at the MN06 show at Herzog's on May
31st. Kudo's to Mike
Cunningham for being the “Voice of MN 06” and Chris Kleidon and Marsha Swanberg
for helping in the office. Roy and Lori
Witz for bringing plastic barrels (those metal ones would have done us in) and
of course all of our great barrel setters and gate people. It's so much easier to get the show going
when you guys do all the stuff you do.
And of course Tami Danger who patiently answered all the 1000 silly
questions patiently for the 100th time every time I asked. A special thanks to Herzog's for donating the
arena and listening to all our concerns about the ground and working with us to
get it right....and of course a big shout out to the Brook Park volunteer fire
department for coming and watering the arena for us. Anyways I tend to ramble and if I missed
anyone it isn't because your help isn't appreciated, it's because I'm getting
old and my brain isn't always working.
I'd also like to welcome
all our new members to our district.
It's great to have you all!!!
Just a nice story I'd like
to share with you all. I was the second
to the last person to leave the show and
as I was driving home on the side of 35W was a horse trailer . I pulled over to see what was wrong and if I
could help. The girl who owned the rig
ran back to me and said, “Everything's fine.
We've got it under control. I've
got a tow truck coming and we aren't hauling any horses. The trailer is brand new and we were hauling
it home when the transmission went out on our truck.”
I replied, “Oh good, I just didn't want you to be stranded. Your sure you don't need anything?”
She then said, “You must
be from the NBHA show....your the 4th person who stopped by to help
us already. I can't believe how nice you
barrel racers are.”
Just goes to show you how
great the people in our district are!!!!
