MN 05 May Newsletter

It was nice to see everyone at the banquet.  I’m hoping that you made it home safely, and are enjoying your prizes!  Those winter blankets probably came in handy.

The calendar is filling up; here is what we have scheduled so far

~May 24: **DOUBLE RUN** Aneesa Sutton’s-Exhibitions start at 3:00

 ~May 31: **DOUBLE RUN** Bemidji Fairgrounds-Exhibitions start at 11:30 am-Runs begin at 1:00

~June 8 (Sunday): Littlefork Fairgrounds with Littlefork Saddle Club show (starting time to follow)

~June 28 (Tentative): Baudette Fairgrounds at the Lake of the Woods County Fair

~July 20: Kristi Schultz’s Arena

~July 25-26:  Littlefork Fairgrounds-*1,000 ADDED EACH DAY*- We are not yet sure if we will be able to sanction this, as it is during Youth World. BUT, the barrel race will be held whether we sanction it or not.

**Crookston will NOT be rescheduled this spring as they are almost done with school.  They are planning to have it in the fall.

At the banquet we had a short discussion on ideas for fundraising that don’t involve just asking for money.   We are going to try “split the pot” drawings at a few of our larger shows.  If you have a good idea for a fundraiser please let me know.

We have a new member.  Katie Jensen joined at the Kuschel barrel race.  Please be sure to say hi and welcome her to our district!
